Important Info You Need To Know

Can I wear flip flops while rafting?
All people going rafting must have proper footwear!  This needs to be shoes with a heel strap, such as tennis shoes, water shoes, or river sandals.  NO FLIP FLOPS or sandals without a heel strap are permitted!!  Water shoes can be rented or purchased at the outpost if desired.

What should I wear?
You will need clothes that you don’t mind to get wet and can keep you warm and comfortable.  We do offer spray jackets for those cooler days or for those people who get cold easily.  Those can be rented at the outpost.

How long is each trip?
On normal water days, trips last approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes to 1 hour and 30 minutes on the water. You should plan to spend about 2 hours and 30 minutes at our outpost from the time you arrive to the time you leave.  This includes check-in, orientation, the bus ride up, the rafting trip down, and any time you need after to change or look at your pictures.

Is there a place to change clothes after the rafting trip?
You will want to bring a towel and change of clothes for afterwards.  Our outpost offers private changing rooms and outdoor rinse showers as well as hot showers in our bath house.

Can I raft the Upper and Lower trips in the same day?
Yes, you can enjoy both trips in the same day.  We offer a special combo price.

I want to do the do raft/zip combo. What do I need to know?
We partner with Wahoo Ziplines in Sevierville, TN in order to facilitate the best adventure vacation for you and your family. Please note that the rafting location and zip location are approximately 45 minutes away from each other so we do not advise trying to zip and raft on the same day. To find out more about zipping with Wahoo’s, please click here.

Do Not Use GPS Directions to Get Here!
GPS will get you here BUT it will take you on a single lane, winding road that does not have cell phone service and can be extremely harrowing for those unused to mountain driving.  Follow our website directions and save yourself some aggravation.  We want you to enjoy your experience with us – even your drive to us to start your adventure.

What Our Customers Are Saying

Don’t just take it from us, let our customers do the talking!

“My wife and I had a great time. Josh and the staff took great care of us and not rushing us threw like we were on an assembly line. He took his time and gave us great stories of the local area, let us swim and general feel like part of a team. This was our first trip on the river and it won’t be the last with these guys. Thanks for all the fun. “

Jordan Chad Boils

“We really enjoyed our trip. Would do again. Loved our tour guide Clark, what a character. we were able to really enjoy the river, got to do extra fun activities that none of the other rafting company’s did, in fact the other tour groups just went down the river…missing out on the really cool aspects of rafting like “surfing” and jumping off rocks into the river and swimming around. loved it!!!! “

Elaine Campbell White

“We WILL definitely be back!!!! Chuck was our guide and he was fantastic! I’m not one to get in water unless I can see through it and then it’s questionable, and to get me in a boat is a completely different story. He made sure we were comfortable and we had a BLAST!!!! Thank you so much Five Rivers Adventures, can’t wait to come back “
